Sight Fishing for Carp

The Colorado River West of Glenwood Springs holds perhaps the greatest population of river carp in the state. The only way to catch these golden monsters with flies is to sight fish for them.

Sight fishing for carp is not in itself too difficult, however, the rush of adrenalin and an accurate cast have been known to stifle even the most seasoned anglers. Carp on the fly present a most exciting challenge and from a boat on the Colorado River, anglers will get many shots.
